Course Description

This course will teach you how to use digital health apps to treat complex diseases. According to WHO guidelines, digital healthcare intervention can be defined as a specific functionality of digital technology that is used to achieve health goals. We will be discussing research into the development of digital healthcare. We will discuss topics such as why digital health matters and how it can impact our future.

Next, we'll be focusing on digital stress management and mental disorders such as schizophrenia, depression, A and insomnia. Many apps use the Cognitive behavioural treatment module to interact with their users. We'll be trying out several web tools and apps, and discussing how these tools can help patients with pain, cognition, and behaviour change. We will be seeing cases of digital apps that study dementia and provide patient care over the course of the week. Apps related to healthcare are flooding the market. But how can we assess their effectiveness? We will review a few research papers and examine the evaluation form. Despite the advancements in medical technology and mobile innovations, there are still many questions about how these applications can be used to benefit the health system. This course will give you an A-level understanding of digital health development and the direction it is headed.
