Course Description

ZBrush is an amazing tool that allows you to create very detailed models. Artists have the power to create anything they want with ZBrush's powerful sculpting or painting tools. However, many times the process of creating game-resolution geometry or baking the maps necessary to reproduce it falls to other applications. ZBrush is a great tool for creating low-resolution game-type meshes with the right maps, even if you don't have access 3DS Max or TopoGun. This tutorial will show you how to create a high-resolution object, a ceremonial knife. To achieve our final result, we will use DynaMesh and various other tools such as masking, clipping brushes, masking, etc. The dagger will be painted accordingly. After the mesh is complete, we will discuss ZBrush's various options for creating a low resolution mesh from the final asset. In ZBrush, we will also edit and project the UV layout, create our maps, and then create them. We'll then bring everything into Marmoset Toolbag so you can see the results in real-time. You'll be able, at the end of the tutorial, to repeat the process on your own meshes. Software needed: ZBrush 4R5, Marmoset Toolbag 1.1.
