Course Description

A solid understanding of modular asset building is key to efficiently creating a game. This course, Creating Modular Games Assets in Maya, will teach you how to create, sculpt, texture and place your assets within a game engine. First, you will learn how to create a Maya base model to be used as a reference measurement for other modular pieces. Next, you will learn how to create these assets in Maya and then use them in Substance Painter to create their textures. Next, you will learn how to import your textures and models into a game engine that can then be exported to a PC for play. This course will give you a solid foundation in modular game asset creation, which will be useful as you develop your own game. Maya 2017, Unity, Unity, Substance Painter, Unity, and Unreal are the required software.
