Course Description

This course covers the basics of Tableau data preparation, from relationships and individual elements to data preparation. Before moving onto the hands-on exercises, you'll be taught design principles and how to identify key elements of a dashboard. The first step in creating and presenting powerful dashboards is to identify the components of a data visualisation. We'll discuss design considerations and theories for creating charts and presenting complex relationships with data. Experian, Siemens and Coca-Cola are just a few of the many companies that use Tableau. This market-leading software will be used throughout the course and ExpertTrack. You will learn how to prepare your data.

After you have mastered the theory, the next step is to create your dashboards using common chart types and interactive elements in Tableau. This will give you many options for presenting and reviewing your data sets. You'll be able to identify useful areas in Tableau and will have a solid foundation in data visualization theory. Once you finish this course you can create your dashboards and distribute them throughout your organization.
