Course Description

Databases hold a large portion of the world's information. SQL (or Structured Query Language), is a powerful language that allows you to communicate with databases and extract data from them. If you are interested in becoming a data scientist, you will need to have a working knowledge of SQL and databases.

This course introduces relational database concepts. It also helps you to learn and apply the foundational knowledge of SQL language. This course will also help you get started in SQL access in a data-science environment. Practical learning and hands-on experience are the main focus of this course. You will be able to work with real databases and data science tools as well as real datasets. You will set up a cloud database instance. You will learn how to build and run SQL queries through a series hands-on labs. Additionally, you will learn how to access databases using Jupyter notebooks with SQL and Python. It is not necessary to have any prior knowledge about databases, SQL, Python or programming. Auditing this course is free for anyone. You can earn an IBM digital badge if you take the Coursera course and earn the certificate. LIMITED TIME OFFER: A subscription costs $39 USD per Month for access to graded material and a certificate.
