Doing Business in Europe, a six-week course entitled Doing Business in Europe, is the second in a trilogy of three courses that explores some of the most important business aspects of European Union Law. The course provides a solid knowledge base on European laws and regulations that are relevant to the establishment and management of a company within the European Union. It also includes inputs from top law professionals in the field. The course focuses on strategic and financial issues within the Company law area, as well as Labour laws such as restructuring companies, working conditions, and managing crises. Other legal areas, such as Tax, Environmental, and Private International, are also covered and discussed.
You will be able to understand the basics of:
* Learn the regulations that govern the internal market of the European Union
* Set up and manage a company in the European Union
* Recognize the rights and obligations of workers and employ staff
* Comply with environmental and tax regulations
* Establish agreements and resolve cross-border conflicts
* Analyze EU case law and create case reports
About the Series
Lund's European Business Law series covers everything from the fundamental structures and principles of European Union law to the specialized areas. Understanding the Fundamentals is the first course. It examines the fundamental structures and principles of the European Union. Competing in Europe is the third and final course. It focuses on how to be competitive on the European internal market and protect your product, brand or invention. Depending on your preferences and needs, you can take all three courses separately or in a sequence.

Format and Syllabus
Each course is composed of several modules. One module corresponds to approximately one week of work. Each module contains lectures, readings, and ends with an assessment. This could be a quiz or peer-graded assignment. Assessments are designed to stimulate learning and help you comprehend the course material. Forum discussions are voluntary.

Lund University

The European Union Master's program in Business Law gives you a deep understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of European business law. Students who plan to become legal advisors or business decision-makers will benefit from the program's specific and general knowledge of the European Union legal system. Students with a minimum of a three-year degree in Law (Bachelor or LL.B) and who wish to specialize in European economic and/or business law are eligible to apply.
Students who are interested in applying for the Master's program in European Business Law can start by taking the MOOC course in European Business Law. Although the MOOC course doesn't grant credit, previous knowledge is considered when you apply for the master's program.
