Course Description

This course will introduce you to additive manufacturing, or 3D printing as it is also known. This course focuses on the basics of geometry and the mindset change required to create a generative model. It also provides a deeper understanding of the parameters of generative design and how to use the results to make a 3D printed metal part. Through the use of Autodesk Fusion 360(tm), we gain a deeper understanding of the generative workflow and combine them with the creative process to turn an idea into a 3D model. As we dive deeper into Fusion 360, we will learn how to identify the design's strengths and weaknesses and use the generative design thinking process for defining a study.
