Course Description

Interprofessional Healthcare Informatics is an interactive graduate-level exploration of real informatics tools and techniques provided by the University of Minnesota and its National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education. To bring the subject matter alive, we will use technology-enabled education innovations. We will establish a vital online community and a healthcare informatics network over the 10 modules.

We will be looking at the perspectives of dentists, physical therapists and nurses as well as physicians working in all types of settings. We will also be discussing emerging technologies such as telehealth, simulations, gaming, and eScience. As we collectively envision and create the future in the rapidly changing healthcare informatics environment, we will be focusing on creativity, controversy and collaboration. All IT geeks and healthcare professionals are welcome to join the course!
