Course Description

Introduction to Logic and Critical Thinking will help you improve your ability to analyze, evaluate, and evaluate arguments from other people (including politicians and used car salesmen) and to create arguments of your own to convince others and to make decisions. This specialization will introduce you to the basics of reasoning and provide tools for improving your critical thinking skills. These skills will enable you to determine the time an argument is being presented, its key parts, and implicit assumptions. Additionally, you will learn how to use inductive and deductive standards to assess arguments and how fallacies can be detected and avoided.
