Description
IP Multicast Fundamentals LiveLessons Workshop is a unique video course that teaches IP Multicast to a live audience. Ron Fuller, a double CCIE (Routing and Switching and Storage Area Networking) and co-author NX-OS, Cisco Nexus Switching. Next-Generation Data Center Architectures, teaches the skills needed to understand IP Multicast across multiple Cisco platforms.
The workshop begins with an overview on IP Multicast, before moving onto Layer 2 of OSI's reference model with a discussion about Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP). Ron then moves onto Layer 3 and a review Protocol Independent Multicast. The workshop then moves on to Layer 3 and a review of Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM). Ron then moves to Source Specific Multicast, (SSM), before concluding the workshop with a discussion on IPv6/Multicast.
