MRI Fundamentals

Welcome! This course will teach you the basics of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), physics, and how to acquire data using MRI. Learners will learn about magnetic resonance phenomena, the process of creating magnetic resonance signals, and how images can be formulated with MRI. They also understand how to change soft tissue contrast depending on imaging parameters. The MR imaging sequences for spin echo and gradient echo as well as fast spin echo, fast spin, echo planar, inversion recovery, and other types will also be covered.
