Course Description

People analytics is a data-driven method of managing people at work. Business leaders will be able to make decisions about their employees based on data analysis, rather than traditional methods such as personal relationships, risk avoidance, or decision-making based only on experience. This is the first time that this has ever been possible. Three of Wharton's most prominent professors in people analytics will be presenting a brand new course. They will discuss the latest techniques for recruiting and retaining great people and show how they are applied at cutting-edge businesses. They will explain how sophisticated analysis and data are used to address people-related issues such as recruitment, performance evaluation, leadership and hiring, promotion, job design, compensation and collaboration. This course introduces the theory of people analytics and does not prepare students to do complex talent management data analysis. This course will help you understand the use of hard data to make decisions about talent development and hiring. You'll also be able to position yourself as a strategic partner in talent management decisions within your company. This course will introduce you to the concept of Organizations thrive when their people flourish. Analytics can help make both happen. This course in People Analytics will help you succeed in your career.
