Course Description

Dr. Karen Reivich will teach you how to integrate resilience interventions into your professional and personal lives. This course will introduce you to the fundamental research on resilience. It also includes protective factors like mental agility and optimism. There are many types of resilience interventions that can be used, including cognitive strategies; strategies for managing anxiety and increasing positive emotions like gratitude; and critical relationship enhancement skills. You will be able to hear real-life examples of people who have used resilience skills in both their professional and personal lives. Prerequisites: Positive Psychology: Martin E. P. Seligman's Visionary Science, and Positive Psychology Interventions and Applications.
