Course Description

We’, are facing many complex and interrelated issues such as rising food costs, economic downturn and increased competition in the use of natural resource.

These problems can be solved by integrated landscape approaches. These new perspectives and opportunities for sustainable development offer new insight and potential, but they also require new skills and knowledge.

Diverse landscape stakeholders must find common ground to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and understand complex landscape issues, processes, and perspectives in order to reach agreement.

This programme will help you understand the changes that are required and your role in them. This programme is based on a spatial perspective and focuses on landscapes' multi-functionality as well as cross-sectoral nature.

This Professional Certificate Programme will teach you about four important elements of landscape thinking.

  • Integrated Landscape Finance
  • Landscape Governance
  • Landscape Leadership
  • Climate change and climate action

This programme is made up of online courses. You will be taught that landscape approaches are used to address complex developmental or environmental problems.

This programme aims to increase your ability to think outside the sector and to work in a more holistic and transformative way. These courses will give you the tools and skills to transform landscapes, and how to incorporate climate action. You will not only be able analyse the data, but you will also learn how to put that knowledge into practice to create climate-smart landscapes at a local and global scale.

Under the auspices of the Global Landscapes Forum, the Sustainable and Inclusive Landscapes program is being developed and delivered worldwide by a network active partners.
