Course Description

Sugar intake can have a negative impact on your body and your ability to focus. It can be confusing to understand the differences between sugars and how to change your diet to decrease your intake.

This four-week course by BBC Good Food will help you understand the true effects of sugar on your body, how to spot hidden sugars and how to make delicious, nutritious low-sugar and sugar-free meals.

We'll examine how sugar affects your health and well-being, and whether sugar can be included in a healthy diet.

To understand the differences between sugar and sweetness, you will compare real and artificial sweeteners.

This knowledge will help you choose the right sugars and sugar replacements for your diet.

The course will help you reflect on sugar quantity and quality in daily meals. This will allow you to adapt recipes to use natural sugars, or decrease sugar loads altogether.

You'll be able to find sugar-free and low-sugar recipe ideas that still taste great and have nutritional value by the end of this course.
