Course Description

This course examines the lives of people with intellectual disabilities from around the globe, their families, and their supporters.

Learn about the difficulties and assistance received in healthcare for persons with intellectual disabilities. This includes their experiences with specific syndromes and communication problems. Also, how they keep healthy.

As they talk about complex care, rare conditions, early death and independence, family members will be available to help. The course's final session will be about the history of treatment and the impact of rights' movements upon healthcare delivery, common conditions, and health promotion.

The course is open to all, but it will be particularly relevant to advanced medical, disability, and allied health professionals. This course is also suitable for workforce education of medical professionals.
