Course Description

Ethical principles are a solid foundation for ethical technology. Principles by themselves can be difficult to apply and may prove impractical. These principles are the basis of ethical frameworks that can be used to help technologists implement data-driven solutions. Ethical frameworks can complicate compliance tasks and can raise tension between business and ethical obligations. These issues need to be addressed. This course is part of the Certified Ethical Emerging Technologist professional certificate. It is for those who want to learn how to analyze and integrate ethical frameworks, standards, regulations, best practices, and data-driven solutions.

Students will learn about the frameworks, the common ethical principles that they are built upon, and how they can be used across a range of ethically driven problems. Learn about the regulations and best practices that have been established in international organizations and governments. You'll also learn how to integrate these standards into your business. This is the second course in the Certified Ethical Emerging Technologist professional certificate. The previous course was titled Promoting ethical use of data-driven technologies.
