You are ready to succeed in the IELTS Writing Test

You will find all the information you need in the four courses of the British Council's understanding IELTS ExpertTracks.

This course is a 3-week course that focuses on the Academic Writing exam. This course will help you understand the format of the Academic Writing test and provide strategies for each type.

Understanding the IELTS writing tasks

The course will start with an overview of the IELTS Academic Writing format. Here you will receive tips and tricks on how to make the most of this course. Then, you'll learn how assessments work.

An introduction to data and charts will be given. You'll also learn how to compare numbers and write about them. You will also learn the correct language to describe dynamic tables and graphs in this part of the course.

Enhance your essay writing skills

Next, you will tackle essay writing. This is an important task in Task 2 of the writing exam. To answer the question, you will need to be able to create, organize, and structure your ideas into a plan.

You'll learn how to organize your essay using your plan. We'll also discuss writing in a formal style and how accuracy and grammatical range are assessed.
