Course Description

We are delighted to have you as part of our investigation into this important topic.

Violence is the leading cause of death, disability, and use of health care worldwide. Violence is complex and requires a multidisciplinary approach to understanding and reducing it.

This course will introduce you to experts who study various forms of violence. We will also discuss the causes and consequences of violence. Learn about violence reduction efforts and how to engage in a day for compassion.

It is a great honor to have PRESIDENT JIMMY CATERTER participate in our course. He gives a lecture about the Carter Center's efforts to end violence in the world and engages in conversation with us about his life, work and views on human rights.

Join us for readings, videos and discussion. Also, check out our coffee chats where Deb and Pamela summarize each module and reflect.

We want to hear from YOU! Feel free to reach out via Twitter or through the course, or through our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/understandingviolence01/.
