Course Description

Good project management starts with good risk management. This short course will teach you everything you need about managing risk and controlling your projects. This course is designed to give you the skills necessary for monitoring project performance, identifying risks and dealing with potential threats to a successful outcome. You'll be guided by experts from Coventry to understand the differences between qualitative and quantitative risk analyses (including the Probability & Impact Matrix) and how to create risk-management plans.

Learn how to manage risks and resolve discrepancies in the project's scope, cost, and schedule. All aspects of risk and control management will be covered, including risk identification, categorisation, and response to the PRAM process (or Project Risk Analysis and Management). Learn how to perform earned value analysis (EVA), and how to use Probability and Impact Matrix. Microsoft Project is a must-have if you are interested in controlling risk. This article will show you how Microsoft Project can be used to create a schedule, assign tasks to resources, track progress, and analyze workloads. Then, we'll discuss its challenges and benefits in planning, executing, and closing projects.
