Course Description

What is design thinking? And how does it fit into the larger scheme of user experience design?

This course will give you the foundations you need to start your career as an UX designer. This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to implement design thinking techniques in the workplace, based on solid UX principles.

You'll be able tackle complex, large and even unsolved problems in product development by learning the design thinking framework. This course will equip you with the skills, mindset, and tools to identify practical and logical innovations and take a solution-based approach to solving problems as UX designers.

The five-stage design thinking model that the Hasso-Plattner Institute of Design proposes at Stanford University will be examined. It consists of empathise (the problem), define (the problem), prototype, test, and ideate. This methodology is non-linear and will help you overcome obstacles and bring your ideas to life.

This course will provide a deep dive into the two most important design elements: ideation and execution.

Learn why ideation is important, its content, and perform differentiation activities and exercises. You'll also learn about the purpose and context of implementation and how it interacts with other types of interaction. And what its requirements are in terms of resources and business. A number of powerful tools will be available to assist you in the implementation process.
