Course Description

The AI for Scientific Research specialization will teach you how to use AI to find patterns and trends in datasets. Course 1 will teach you a bit about Python and data science. To help you analyze your data, we'll be sharing some libraries. You will be able to use a classification model to determine whether a patient has heart disease. Course 2 covers all aspects of machine learning, including reading, cleaning and transforming data, as well as running advanced and basic machine learning algorithms. In the final project we will use our skills to evaluate different machine learning models in Python. We will continue to expand our understanding of the basic models and learn more advanced AI techniques in Course 3. We will discuss the differences and how they differ. Next, we will complete a project that predicts similarity between patients with health using random forests. Course 4 is a capstone course. We'll be comparing the genome sequences of COVID-19 mutants to find potential areas that a drug therapy could target. You'll be on your way to finding ways to fight disease using genome sequencing by the end.
