Building a Logo for a Law Firm in Illustrator

This series of lessons will show you how to create a logo for your law firm. Let's start by looking at our concept sketch and deciding how to build our logo. We will first focus on how to build the puzzle-like part of our logo. We will also learn about some great tools that can be used to create custom shapes such as the Illustrator shape builder tool or the pathfinder panel. We will then shift our attention to the type of the logo by inserting a letterform in the middle. We will learn not only how to do this but also why the targeted typeface was chosen. We will finish the course by preparing our logo for presentation. This includes adding color and using it in a variety of situations. This course will give you a solid understanding of how Adobe Illustrator creates a logo. Software required: Illustrator CS5.
