Course Description

Cassandra can be used as a distributed, highly-scalable and high-performance database. Cassandra 3for Developers will teach you about Cassandra's history and how Docker can be used to create a Cassandra cluster. You will first learn about replication strategies and Cassandra's support for "tunable consistent". Next, you'll be introduced to CQL, tables, keyspaces and common datatypes. The next step is to explore primary keys, and how they can be composed of both clustering and partition keys. You will also learn about secondary indexes and batches. You will be able to store time series data in Cassandra using sets, lists and maps.
