Course Description

Do you wish to be an animator? To create large, heavy monsters and tiny, cute creatures, you must understand how and why they move differently.

If you do it right, your audience will believe they have beings with real physical presence in their front.

Weight in animation can be difficult to master, but practice and build a solid foundation will help you prepare for any challenge.

This beginner course is the first step in mastering basic animation principles of physics, and body mechanics.

We won't stop at the standard practice animations (the famous bounce ball), like most beginner tutorials. To demonstrate the principles, we will create a cool looping animation character animation.

This class will show you how to create a well-organized animation workflow using a free, open source 2D animation software called Open Toonz.
