Course Description

We are glad to welcome you all to this course. This course will cover the entire process of creating kitchen environment using Unreal Engine 5. Blender, Substance Painter.

We will cover modeling in Blender, texturing with Substance Painter, and setting up the scene, lighting, and materials in Unreal Engine 5.

SOFTWARES - (BLENDER Substance Painter, Unreal Engine 5)

Blender will do all the modeling. However, the techniques can be used in any other 3D modeling program. Substance Painter will create the materials and textures. Unreal Engine 5 will allow you to create level art, lighting, and composition.

This course will teach you everything you need to create the trailers and images you see. These same techniques can be used in almost any environment.

This course contains over 11 hours of content. (All videos include audio commentary.

This course will cover every step together. You will be able to follow each step easily because there are no time delays.

To get some ideas and mood for our scene, we will first gather some reference images. These reference images will be arranged in a free program called PurRef. We will then move on to Blender and start modeling our main assets. This tutorial will cover the entire process of modeling this in Blenderonly. We will begin by modeling some of our main assets, such as the stove, fridge and cabinets.

Once we have modeled all of our assets, Substance Painter will export them to begin the texturing process. We will learn how to create realistic and high-quality materials, as well as the key features of Substance Painter such Smart Masks, generators, and smart materials.

We will then import all of our models into Unreal Engine, and export the textures from Painter directly to Unreal Engine. Next, we will set up lighting and create the right atmosphere for our scene. To create realistic lighting in our scene, we will use the Unreal Engine's new features such as Lumen. Next, we will set up a Post-Processing volume that will enhance the visuals.

To further detail the scene, we will spend more time creating small props. The course will be completed by adding food items from Quixel Megascans, setting up different angles, and taking high-resolution screenshots for our portfolio.

Who is this course intended for?

Students who have a basic understanding of texturing and modeling and are interested in learning how to create environments. This course will cover everything in detail, but it would be helpful to have some knowledge of the software.
