Digital Illustration: Doodles to Designs Skillshare Original

I am an illustrator and artist who creates bold, fun, funny, and colorful artworks.

All of my creations start as simple sketches made with a pen in a sketchbook. These doodles are then transformed into artwork using a variety of tools, tips, and tricks.

This class will teach you how to make a fun doodle illustration. It can be used as an art or screen print, or even as a t-shirt design.

Your doodles will do the work! You don't have to be an artist or a skilled drawer. The work will be charmingly hand drawn and imaginative.

We hope you leave the class feeling inspired and motivated to create your work and have a cool print that you can sell on your site.

I will share with you some of my processes for creating my work.

What You Will Learn

You will learn how I create art prints by walking through the process. The artwork can be used for any purpose, including a t-shirt or album cover.

We'll cover:

• Drawing. This is my first step in my process.
• Output ideas. Here are some considerations when designing an art print.
• Evaluation. We will evaluate your doodled work and prepare your drawing before we move on to the final artwork.
• Digitize. I will clean up your drawings, then show you how to digitize them in a few simple steps.
• Polishing is the first step to publishing. You will inspect your work and ensure that it is ready for potential clients or print jobs.

What You Will Do

Drawing with a pen is a process that involves your heart, hands, eyes, brain, and soul. You will be able to relax and be inspired, creating an unexpected hand-drawn composition. You will then use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for a digital graphic. This can be used as an art print (that can be sold) or repurposed as a design in a variety of outputs (such t-shirts as posters, packaging design, etc).

You will be able to use your computer and cognitive skills to create art prints from your doodles. You will have fun, feel inspired to draw, create and dream!
