Course Description

This tutorial series focuses on the modeling process for games using 3ds Max. It begins by teaching how to organize a high poly model and then move on to creating an exploded model, which is useful for later stages of the project. The course covers modeling the low-polygon version of an RC car, highlighting key tools and techniques for game modeling. It also explores reusing high-polygon models and utilizing the Graphite Modeling Tools for retopologizing. The tutorial then delves into unwrapping the low-polygon model and properly packing UVs to optimize textures. Finally, the training course concludes with a lesson on baking maps to achieve a high-poly look on the low-poly model. By completing this tutorial, learners will gain a solid foundation in modeling for video games and acquire all the necessary skills to create their own models. This course requires 3ds Max 2014 software.
