Course Description

Brian Benton, an expert in computer-aided design, will show you how to use the various functions and tools available in the Learning AutoCAD 2015 for Mac course. This course is for absolute beginners. You don't need to have any experience with AutoCAD. Next, you will learn about the new features of AutoCAD 2015 for Mac and then move on to how to use the AutoCAD for Mac interface. Brian will show you the basics of how to open a new file, select drawing objects, and work with specific units. This tutorial will cover topics such as CAD drafting, manipulating object properties, drawing with accuracy, and object properties. You will also learn about dimensions and text, hatches, and drawing and reusing blocks. You will also complete a final project in which you will draw the basic floorplans for a simple movie house.
After completing this computer-based training course, AutoCAD 2015 for Mac will allow you to create 2D drawings by using the AutoCAD 2015 for Mac software. You can follow the author through the lessons by downloading the working files.
