Microwave engineering and antennas

The unique master-level course covers all aspects of antennas and microwave engineering. This course covers both active and passive microwave circuits, as well as antenna system design. Experts who can design highly integrated antenna systems with both microwave and antenna electronics are essential for future applications such as automotive radar or millimeter wave 5G/beyond-5G communications. You will be provided with both the theoretical background and hands-on experience through state-of the-art tools. We will also give you practical experience with a design challenge in which you can design antennas and microwave circuits. The design challenge will see you design an active phased array system including beamformers, amplifiers and antennas. A book by the lecturers will support the course and be available for students. A certificate (5 ECTS) can be earned after the completion of the course. This can be used to start an MSc program at Eindhoven University of Technology.

The lecturers have a combined academic and industry background. They are all embedded at the Center for Wireless Technology Eindhoven, Eindhoven University of Technology (CWT/e), The Netherlands.
