Course Description

This Substance Painter tutorial will show you how to texture a 3D object from scratch using a physically-based render (PBR). Although this tutorial is focused on game assets, many of the techniques can be used for any CG asset. We'll first look at how to create PBR textures. This involves using 3ds max to set up the meshes. Substance Painter will be used to texture the model. We'll use different tools and techniques to create texture maps that are non-destructive. You will be able to use Substance Painter to texture 3D models with PBR textures by the end of this Substance Painter training. Software requirements: Substance Painter 1.4, 3ds Max 2015, Marmoset Toolbag.
