This course focuses on the design and development different instruments for research. This course will focus on the design of instruments, scales of measurement, and components of the research report. This course will focus on the questionnaire development process, including question type, wording, pretesting, revising, and revision. We will discuss the identification of scales and operationalization, as well as the design and implementation of an online questionnaire. We will discuss measurement variations and how to assess the reliability of measurements. We will also discuss the validity of measurements, and the different types of validity. Data preparation, processing, adjustment, and data analysis with multivariate data methods will all be discussed. We will also discuss frequency distribution and measures for location, variability, and shape. The course concludes with discussion about hypothesis testing and cross-tabulations. We will be discussing parametric and not-parametric hypothesis testing, group comparison, and the different sections in the research report.
