It all starts with a piece or concept art. You may have created it yourself, found it online, or received it from someone at work.
This series of classes will begin with a simple shaded drawing illustrating a retro-sci-fi robot. Once you have the concept art, you will be able to translate it into 3D as accurately as possible. Add details to fill in any gaps left by the original concept art.
You can choose your own materials, colors, decals, and weathering effects to bring 3D art closer into reality. Attach it to a simple rig, and then give it a dramatic pose. Finally, add equal dramatic lighting. Finalize the image.
You will have transformed a flat 2D concept into a fully realized 3D artwork by the end of the project.
This series of classes will help you to accomplish all that.
