Course Description

Expert author Michael LaFleche will show you how to use SolidWorks to fully document line and schematic diagrams, schematics as well as terminal strips and PLC's. This course is for users who already have basic knowledge of SolidWorks and basic skills in reading schematic blueprints. Michael will then show you how to create detailed cables and add manufacturer parts to symbols. This video tutorial also covers multiwire schematics, symbols libraries, references, and cabinet layout. Finally, you'll learn how to set up SolidWorks Electrical to meet your needs using custom symbols, reports and manufacturer information. This will allow you to create a complete Bill of Materials.
After completing this computer-based training course, your skills will allow you to use SolidWorks Electrical Schematic software to create your own projects and collaborate with other engineers on the same project. You can follow along with the author through the lessons by downloading working files.
