SQL CASE Statements by Coursera

This project-based course, SQL Case Statements, is now open. This project will teach you how to use SQL CASE statements in order to query tables within a database. This 2-hour-long project will teach you how to create simple CASE statements that retrieve desired results from a database. Next, we'll move on to more complicated SQL CASE statements. We will also learn how to combine the CASE clause with aggregate functions and SQL joins to achieve the desired results from tables within a database. You will also learn how to use CASE clauses to transpose the query result. We will also use PostgreSQL (our preferred database management system) for this hands-on project. To complete this project, you must have some experience using PostgreSQL. This project also requires advanced SQL concepts. You will need to have a solid foundation in SQL query writing and SQL joins. If you don't know how to write SQL queries and SQL joins, I have previous guides that will help you. They are "Querying Databases with SQL SELECT statement", and "Performing Data Aggregation with SQL Aggregate functions". These guided projects were taught using PostgreSQL.
