Course Description

This tutorial will show you how to use ZBrush's Blend Shapes plug in. Blend shapes allow you to quickly create expressions for your characters, or deform models based upon your design. ZBrush excels at creating these target shapes. This series of lessons will teach you how to use Blend Shapes to create and export blend shapes that can be used in Maya. First, we'll discuss how to install the plug-in. Next, we'll look at the interface. Next, we will create an expression for our old-man character and then export it to Maya. We will also discuss how to access the new blend shapes as well as the data that will be available during the transfer. We'll also discuss exporting multiple blend shapes in order to create expression libraries. Finally, we will look at how shapes can be exported for multiple subtools. After completing the tutorial, you will be able transfer your own blend shapes to Maya more quickly and easier. Software requirements: Maya 2008 or higher, Zbrush 4 and above.
