Dharmsinh Desai University was established in 1968 by Shri Dharmsinh Dadubhai Desai. The campus of the university is spread over an area of 42 acres of land. Dharmsinh Desai University is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The university is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). DDU Nadiad is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The mission and vision of Dharmsinh Desai University is to provide quality education to the students and nurture them into professionals. In the NIRF 2020 ranking for the engineering category, the university was ranked 193.
