EIT RawMaterials is the largest consortium in raw materials worldwide, funded and initiated by the EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology), an EU body. Its vision is to make raw materials a major strength of Europe. Its mission is to ensure the sustainable competitiveness and sustainability of the European metals, minerals and materials sector across the value chain through innovation, education, and entrepreneurship.
EIT RawMaterials consists of more than 120 core and associated partners, and 180+ project partners. These partners come from top industry, universities, and research institutions in more than 20 EU member countries. EIT RawMaterials partners are involved in the whole value chain of raw materials, from exploration, mining, mineral processing, to substitution and recycling. They work together to find innovative ways to improve Europe's raw materials sector and secure supplies.
