Institute Overview

The University of Geneva was founded in 1559 and is the second-largest Haute Ecole in Switzerland. It is the flagship institution of Calvin and fosters an openness to the rest of the world. UNIGE's intellectual heritage, high-quality education in all fields of science and arts, and cutting-edge research are what distinguish it.

UNIGE is located in the heart international Geneva. It has forged a vast network of international organizations as well as non-governmental organizations. This promotes collaboration between scientists from CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), UNEP (United Nations Environment Program) or WMO (World Meteorological Organization).
