Course Description

Do you love using native browser features to create modern web apps? This course, Building Your First Lightning Web Component for Salesforce, will teach you how Salesforce has adopted the Modern Web Standards Renaissance. You'll also learn how Lightning Web Components are an improvement on the Aura-based components that were introduced in 2014. They can still be interoperable with Aura components. You'll first set up Salesforce DX and Visual Studio Code to create your development environment. Next, you will create an app using nested web elements that communicate with custom DOM events. You'll also learn how to convert Aura components and how to set Jest up to test your JavaScript. After completing this course, your LWC app will be ready for you to create.
