Course Description

This Maya tutorial will show you how to create MEL scripts that generate the motion of an ant walking. With scripts that adapt to the changing position of the Ant's head, antennae, head, and stepping legs, we'll be able to drive its secondary body motion. We'll also set up the rig to allow the animator to manually control the position of the Ant, or use a procedural wandering path with automatic aim and stops. You'll be able to integrate scripting and automation in your rigs by the end of this Maya training. Software required: Maya 2015.
