Course Description

The Wright brothers' first flight was more than 100 years ago. Yet, we still don't believe it. This article will teach you how to identify the various parts of the plane and how to quantify and describe its geometry. We will now need to use a precise vocabulary to describe and quantify the plane's movements and position in space. Also, we will be reviewing basic mechanic principles. Newton's 2nd Law allows you to determine the force that must be applied to an apple or to alter its speed. You will learn how an airplane can rapidly exchange speed for altitude using the concepts of potential energy and kinetic energy.
