Course Description

This 1-hour-long project-based course will teach you how to: – Manage the file requirements to optimise or export a pattern; - Get started using GIMP 2.10 editing tools; - Create customised patterns with GIMP 2.10. By the end this project, you will be able to use Gimp to create simple, customized patterns. You will learn how to create different types patterns by either drawing simple shapes on GIMP or using an existing image. A pattern is a design that repeats the same shape at regular intervals across a surface. This is graphic design and visual art. Patterns can be used to personalise fabrics, wallpaper, gift papers, or any other surface that your imagination can reach. GIMP version 2.10, a cross-platform image editing program, is available for many of today's most popular operating systems. It is used a lot by graphic designers, artists, and photographers as an open-source alternative for image editing software. Its interface is easy to use, so anyone with a passion for graphics and visual arts can enjoy it. This course is best for those who live in the North America region. We are currently working to offer the same experience in other areas.
