Course Description

This course on international business gives an overview of the environment in which international business has operated in the past as well as the current. The theory and history behind international trade, as well as the role of business in global commerce are briefly summarized. Then, we will discuss the parallel topic of globalization as well as its effect on international business. Next, we will discuss the diverse political, economic and ethical environments that international business must operate in. The final discussion will focus on current international trade agreements as well as national trade laws and regulations. International leaders and managers will struggle if they don't understand the context of international business.
