Course Description

This course teaches new system and network administrators how they can plan the big picture, and than use that plan to install windows server 2016. Professor k explains how to identify the hardware and acquire it: dedicated or virtual. You will need this hardware for your new server to fulfill its purpose: file host, domain controller, dns/dhcp, server or virtual machine host. He than shows you how to choose the right edition of windows server, and how to install the core operating systems. Finally, you will learn how to use windows power shell and the legacy admin tools to configure network addressing, storage, features and roles to meet your organization's needs. Topics include: planning the server's hardware, installing windows server 2016, configuring storage, and managing roles. This course also includes hands-on labs and exercises that are based on real-world scenarios and proven to work in production environments.
