Amity University Gwalior was established in 2010 by an act passed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The campus of the university spreads over an area of 100 acres of land. Amity University Gwalior is accredited by ASIC. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Amity University Gwalior is also approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Bar Council of India (BCI), Council of Architecture and Rehabilitation Council of India. The vision of the university is to be a centre of excellence for higher education through its innovative and research-based curriculum with the vision of creating competent professionals to serve society and the nation.
The university is a centre of excellence for tribal development, chemical biological radiological and nuclear mitigation, nanobiotechnology and alternative medicine, centre for environmental conservation and biodiversity, etc. Amity University Gwalior offers Diploma, B.Des., B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Com (H), B.A., B.C.A., B.B.A., B.Pharma, B.Sc., B.Sc. (H), B.A. (H), M.Sc., M.Tech, M.B.A, M.A., M.C.A., L.L.M, etc courses. The university accepts scores of JEE Main/Amity JEE for B.Tech admission, NATA/JEE Main for B.Arch and CAT/MAT/XAT/NMAT/GMAT/GRE for M.B.A programme admission. The total number of faculty members at the university is 152. The total number of students enrolled at present is 2156.
