Delhi University (DU) was established in 1922 under the Central Legislative Assembly Act. The University of Delhi is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A+’ grade. It is ranked at 19th position in NIRF overall ranking 2021, compared to 18th position previous year. In the research category, DU secured 11th position in NIRF rankings 2021. Furthermore, the university has secured 12th rank in NIRF University Ranking 2021. DU is graded as a category one university and recognised as Institute of Eminence (IoE) by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Delhi University has 91 colleges affiliated to it. RR Hospital Bus Stand is the nearest bus stand with a distance of 2.5 km. The best mode of transportation to reach the university is metro and bus.
