A communications technician uses their knowledge on a wide range of electronics to set up, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronics. This can include such devices as tablets, phones, printers, laptops, and more complicated pieces of equipment. They must repair damaged and malfunctioning equipment while following strict repair policies and procedures.

Communications technicians are frequently required to stand and move on a daily basis, as well as lift loads of up to 100 pounds.
