Technical delivery managers are a type of customer-relations manager specific to the information technology (IT) industry. They are employed, (sometimes on a contract basis and sometimes as full-time employees) to lead large-scale IT implementation projects. This work is largely mental, requiring great knowledge of IT infrastructure, excellent planning skills, and deep understanding of the specific solution being offered by the company for which they are working.Technical delivery managers generally work standard 40-hour, first shift weeks, though some overtime or time outside of business hours may be required, depending on the project in question.
