Course Description

Accounting Analytics examines the relationship between financial statements and other metrics to determine financial performance. This course is taught by Wharton's highly regarded accounting professors. It teaches you how data can be used to predict future financial outcomes and assess the factors that drive financial performance. Accounting and financial institutions often deliver data. However, accounting analytics uses that data to provide insight. This course will examine the many ways accounting data can be used to gain insight into other areas such as consumer behavior prediction, corporate strategy, risk management and optimization. This course will help you understand the interplay between financial and non-financial data to predict events, optimize operations, determine strategy, and more. This course is designed to help you make better business decision about accounting analytics' new roles. You will be able to apply the knowledge you have to your business and create strategy using financial information.
